The Real New Year

YHVH tells Moses and Aaron,

Exodus 12:2

"This month is the beginning of months for you, it is the first month of the year for you."

According to the Bible, the true “New Year's Day” is Aviv 1. Why does this matter? Isn't the January 1 good enough? As followers of Yeshua (Jesus), we say that we believe the Bible, and if God said it, it should be believed.

Deuteronomy 16:1 (ISR)

"Guard the month of Aḇiḇ, and perform the Passover to יהוה your Elohim, for in the month of Aḇiḇ יהוה your Elohim brought you out of Mitsrayim by night.

1 Thessalonians 5:1 (ISR)

Now, brothers, as to the times and the seasons, you do not need to be written to.

Everything regarding when the Biblical Days revolve around the sighting of the New Moon at the time that the barley is in a state called aviv. It is important due to the fact that helps us anticipate the coming day of Passover.

Leviticus 23:5 (ISR)

‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the Passover to יהוה.

A proper understanding of YHVH's calendar can help us to better understand the plan of salvation that Yeshua (Jesus) accomplished, and will later finish. It gives us a connection to the true history of our faith. It helps us to see the tapestry that YHVH has woven. So, I urge you to take time to study the history of Biblical Days.
